Scholarship Programs

Mrs. Genie Grant Mann has given $5,000.00 to Epworth Camp in memory of her grandparents, Rev. Edwin H. Grant, Mrs. Marion Grant, and M. M. Mobley, to be invested and the interest to be used for scholarships for those attending Epworth Camp who need financial assistance.

Rev. Grant became a full member of the Methodist Church in the Oklahoma conference in 1938. He transferred to the Southern Illinois Conference in 1947 where he served churches in Mt. Carmel, East St. Louis, Effingham, Wood River and Flora. Mr. Mobley was a life-long resident of Mt. Carmel, and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

It is Mrs. Mann's hope that this contribution will, in time, grow through continued donations from her family and others who may remember her grandparent's service to the community.
